We've been to Puerto Vallarta three times and have never been downtown. We've always gone out sailing. We don't speak Spanish and are concerned about reserving a taxi for the day. Pamela offers tourguides at $35 per hour, but that seems steep for a day's worth.
Any advice would be appreciated (Harry? Art?)
I guess I came up with the answer to my own question.
I was searching around on the web and found out that my friend, Mazatlan Frank - the tourguide who offers the BEST tour in Mazatlan (maybe competitively with his friend, Randi's Happy Horses) - now sponsors tours out of Puerto Vallarta with Alfredo. I'm in process to book a tour with Alfredo. He doesn't have e-mail so all messages need to go through Frank.
It's exactly what we were looking for. If anyone is going on our cruise, we'd be happy to share the wealth.
