We are booked on the Carnival Pride to the Mexican Riveria. Ports of
call are Cabo, PV, and Mazatlan. I have visited Carnival's website
for a list of shore tours. Sadly, there were very few offerings at all
3 ports. Has Carnival been cruising the Mex Riv very long??
I checked out Royal Caribbean's website and found many shore
tour offerings for all 3 ports.
Question: How do you book your shore tours for these ports?
Cruiseline, alternate cruiseling, or independent.?????
Has anyone sailed on one cruiseline and booked a shore tour
through a different cruiseline?
Can anyone tell me the absolute "do not miss" things to see in
these ports. I have read other posts and have some ideas.
All suggestions are greatly appreciated, after 7 Caribbean cruises
we are trying the Pacific.
First of all - Carnival has been cruising the Riviera "forever"
We cruised the Mexican Riviera with a Cruisemates group on the Pride. Don't know the date of your cruise or your preferences, since I've cruised it three times I'll give you my preferences and experiences:
The Sunderland pirate ship is great fun, but we went on it when it was separate from the cruiselines - now it's about three times as expensive.
We've whale watched each time, once through this ship and twice on catamarans (cruiseline tours). We're going back in September and will go snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez (another cruise ship tour)
First two times we took a private sail boat tour into the bay. This time we're taking a private city tour through Mazatlan Frank's friend.
What can I say? I LOVE Mazatlan Frank's tour - we've taken in twice.
The other great tour is with the Happy Horses (gee... I just spaced her name- I've met her and she's good people) Both are great tours and lots of fun for all ages.
