Need CruiseMates help, Puerto Vallarta excursion

Hi, I am booked on the Pride for February 2007. Looking for a tour. I found Puerto Vallarta Tours and am considering the MariaGalante Pirate Ship. For $61.50 it includes everything, Is this company reliable? Any feedback will be apreciated.

Cruznut, been there, done that. It was great. We're going in Feb. also on RCCL. We're going to do the pirate ship again. Its really a don't miss.

This firm is quite up and up.

I only question why someone would opt for this tour when they could visit one of the most beautiful cities in all of Mexico. We go to PV. often and frequently spend up to 4 weeks at a time.

P.V. is an amazingly wonderful town with a lot to see and do. The pirate ship tour is not a tour that would be on the top of my list. There are too many other wonderful things to do and ways to spend your time.

E-mail me if you need suggestions.

Thanks for the endorsements. Not sure yet what we will do there. PV is still undecided the Pirate ship was just one we are considering.

Hubby and oldest son did the Los Des Vernos Canopy Tour (an independent tour) for $71.50 each (plus $6 for taxi fare) and had a wonderful time. They booked theirs for 11AM (which gives the ship time to dock without you being rushed since PV is an hour ahead of the ship).

They booked it on line, but did not have to give any credit card info to hold the reservation. You simply pay cash (or Credit Card with a 5% surcharge) when you get to the office.

They were able to swim after their zipline tour right there where they finished the tour in a little river by the restaurant.

Just another option to consider!

Have a great cruise.

Cruznut2-

Just to let you know, the Pride is me favorite ship. I went on it last December and I loved it!

If you're looking for something different and unique, try one of the tours that visits a tequilla distillery. Princess offers a great excursion called "Tequilla Distilleries and Beach" that actually visits two tequilla distilleries (the first uses the modern method and the second uses the traditional method, but both produce the best grade of tequilla) before going to a really nice beach club that is NOT inundated with beach venders. Now that they are the same company, I suspect that Carnival offers the same excursion.

Norm.
