Default Snorkeling at Costa Maya

Our cruise - originally scheduled to go to Cozumel changed to Costa Maya. I have been there twice before - so the facility is not too interesting to me. Does anyone know of any snorkeling within walking distance of the Costa Maya facility? How does one get there? Has Costa Maya improved in the last year or so?

Go to the shopping center near the pier and look for Olinca Water Sports. It is the best snorking trip we have ever done and very inexpensive. They will negotiate. You have to take a cab or bus into the little town, 5 minutes away ($5 round trip).

I have heard the currents around the pier are rough, so I recommend going to the reef in town. You will not regret it.
