Kayaks/Paradise Beach Questions
Okay, this is probably going to sound like a crazy question, but in checking out Paradise Beach and Playa Uvas, the clear kayaks at Uvas sounded really cool, and my 19-year-old daughter thought they sounded great. She won't snorkel, but loves to kayak. However, the beach and facilities at Paradise Beach sounded more like what we want, with fewer rocks, etc. Are the kayaks at Paradise the traditional kayaks, or are they the clear ones as well? Also, if the water just off shore at Uvas has a soft sandy bottom without a lot of rocks, with coral heads further out to swim to for snorkeling, please let me know. I just can't stand to have to deal with rocky beaches for wading, but love to snorkel. I'm a wuss. LOL

Hi, they do have Kayaks at Paradise Beach, which is right next to San Francisco Beach. Both offer a vast amount of watersports activities. No clear Kayaks at Paradise Beach. Also, please take into account that a little more than one year ago, hurricane Wilma messed up the island and the shallow reefs near the beaches offer only limited attractivity. For snorkeling I recommend to take one of the boats such as the glass bottom boat and head a little more out to deeper reefs. Still great snorkeling in Cozumel!
