I will be in "Z" in Feb, What did you do? What should I do? It's my second time there and I don't want to do a repeat of last, although it was a blast!

I seem to recall taking a wonderful "sail and swim" excursion on a "pirate ship" there.
It's also great fun to explore the town on your own. If you go to the end of the tender pier and turn right, you'll be in the main shopping district where the locals do their shopping. Continuing down the waterfront a couple short blocks, you'll come to a beach where the local fishermen land their catch, repair their nets, etc. (if you get there at midmorning, you'll see them in action before they take their catch to the market). There are also several decent restaurants that cater to tourists (so the food and the water are safe) right along the waterfront, if you are looking for lunch. It's a neat little town!
Acapulco tour guide Rosie gave us a great tip for Zijuatenejo ... we tendered in, then took a short cab ride to Playa de la Ropa. This was a wonderful, quiet beach where it looked as if the locals went. Very calm waters. No sales people at all that I saw. Rosie recommended La Pearla restaurant, and we had some great shrimp tacos there and a couple margaritas. It was only a 5 min or so cab ride there, and we had him pick us up again in 2 hours.

Get off and g to the right enjoy all of the street locals. Once you get to town center you can go to the beach restaurants straight forward or go to the left I assume North about 2-3 blocks up and then on the left is THREE AMIGOS, You'll see books on stands, its in a couple of buildings, very friendly will let you use their restrooms without ordering, will give you directions and great food and drinks. They were only open 3 months when we were there in Feb/2007 Owner on premises and working for his business! We ended up going to the locals swap meet and still had plenty of time to go there first and come back!! Highly reccommend!! DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THE STRIP, THEIR BEER IS WARM!!

We were there Feb. or April 2006 (can't remember). It was warm !
My husband and brother-in-law played golf and my sister took a horseback riding excursion. Later, she walked thru the village. She chatted with the locals and had food and drink, which was safe.
I was sick, so I stayed on the ship.
They really enjoyed that port.
