Costa Maya - Costa Maya Cruise Excursions Tour Company

We are thinking of taking the Beach Resort Break with Costa Maya Cruise excursions. Anyone out there use this company? If so, did you do this tour and how was it? Do you know what resort they use?

Hi, there are no real beach resorts available in Costa Maya yet, but a bunch of them are planned without doubt...it is a relatively recent cruise port and still under development. Water sports tours or sightseeing are the most recommended tours in this port or just take a 5 minute taxi ride to the Mahahual village with many rustic beach restaurants, bars, activities, etc...

What are the activities? Shopping, ruins, things for boy teens to do?

I think something to keep in mind with regard to Costa Maya, if you want to do the beach, don't pay anyone to do it. You can walk to Mahahual in probably 20 minutes or so, or pay $3 for transportation into town. There are no private beaches...and the beach is fairly large, you'll definitely find a good spot. It's $2 to take a taxi back to the port (you need your ship's key card to get back into the port area as the taxis are only allowed into the port area if they are taking guests back in). And we found the water to be the warmest in Costa Maya compared to Grand Cayman and Jamaica. I wish we would have spent more time here, but we were too busy trying to shop and deal with shopkeepers at the port that didn't want to deal.
