we're on the same cruise! We have an 11 yr old son, he's looking forward to the kids club activities. As for port excursions, you can never go wrong with the beach, also anything having to do with wildlife, the dolphin encounters, turtle farms, anything like that is usually a big hit.

see you on board!

If he's a typical lad of ten years, he'll be thrilled with all of the above and the fort, which is now a museum, as well.

Your best bet probably is to let him pick out a shore excursion that he would like to do from those that the cruise line offers.

Norm.

Hey Sirsandy & Cynda. I actually registered on this site to respond to you both. We are taking the March 30 Mex Riv NCL cruise out of LA and I have a 10yr old son as well. Hopefully they can all meet at kids club and have a blast!

We booked dolphin swim, off road jeep tour, mini sub exploration and cliff divers. Heard all were excellent in view of the fact that so many had 12 yr age restrictions.

The weather should be awesome too so beach s/b great.

Cliffdivers are a must and really impressive..also the island hike and snorkel is fun away from crowdy beaches...cliff divers only take ca. 30 min and is 5 min from pier, pleanty beach time left. Good luck!

Shot Over Jet Boat ride in Acapulco is the best! Fun for the whole family if you enjoy fast and thrilling rides.

Also check out Roqueta Island Hike and Snorkel...was great fun as well, just a short boat ride to the bay island...escape the crowd, hike the island, snorkel the underwaterworld and finish with a great lunch..a rather unique way of seeing Acapulco!
