El Cid in Cozumel

Has anyone been to "El Cid" in Cozumel? If so, how was it? How much per. person was the day use fees? Is it to far to walk from the pier?

Any info. would help!

We sailed on the Conquest in February. When we stopped in Cozumel, we docked at the pier further away from downtown. The El Cid is right there in front of you. We paid $35 for the day, and could come and go as we pleased
( good if you need to go back to the ship for anything ) We really enjoyed our day. The snorkelling was very good - the most fish we saw all week ! The food and drinks were great.
The walk from the ship if you dock at that pier was about 5 minutes. If you dock downtown, I think you would need to take a taxi

You reach El Cid hotel from Puerta Maya pier in 3 minutes walking and 1 minute from the International Pier...ca. 3 minutes taxi ride from downtown pier. There is good snorkeling, however no sandy beach into the water (rocky...that is why snorkeling is lot better than from beaches) but is has an artificial beach which is quite nice....all is redone after hurricane Wilma. Good Spa services, Mayan sauna, natural pool with fish....etc...good place to relax and snorkel close to the piers...
