Cozumel Sights

Hello...Found this website and forum while doing some surfing for things to do while in Cozumel. My wife and I are cruising to Cozumel for the first time in August. We've been to other islands in the Caribbean and have always hired a local for our island touring instead of going thru the cruise line excursions that are offered.

I would like to hear from some of you that have been to Cozumel and what kind of activities you enjoyed and if you went with the cruise line tours or strike out on your own with a local.

This site is the BEST!!

Cozumel is a great spot to rent a vehicle and head out on your own!

It's a small island, with only one main road around the whole island, so with a rental vehicle you can stop at several points of interest, beaches, etc. along the way. Easy!

You may want to try some unique tours such as: powerboat and beach adventure, off road kart tourl powersnorkeling, jungle mayan ruin atv tour, clear kayaks etc good luck!

There are tours in Cozumel on every type of vehicle you can think of including a tour on Segways.

We did a Jungle Jeep Tour and it was awesome.

The dune buggy and island jeep tours are really popular too! Great snorkeling, some off road driving and get to know the entire island...has very good comments. Good luck!
