We are booked on the Carnival Pride for June 2008, and will be visiting Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. We have never been to these ports before, so have no idea what to do. Whatever excursions we pick need to be low impact as I have MS and my walking is limited and I sometimes use an electric scooter. I know some people choose to book with vendors other than Carnival because of cost. However, we like to stick with the cruise line excursions. Can anyone give me recommendations as to the best way to see the culture and "must see" sights? Thanks!

I can't make any suggestions from experience, however, we are taking the same cruise in Sept. and we are getting ready to book the Pirate Party boat, (w/dinner and light/sound show and fireworks) Puerta Vallarta,
then in Cabo we are thinking about the Land's End tour....
Both are low impact and relatively inexpensive..... and we are booking through Carnival....
If you do either one, please get back to me after your cruise....
Have Fun.
How about in PV swimming with the dolphins. It is a bus ride there and then you are in a large tank. You have on a life vest and there is very little physical swimming. But a great experience if you are a dolphin lover. It has been 5 or 6 years since we accompanied our daughter on this tour. The only bad thing was they charged my husband and I $50 each just to ride up with her and watch from the stands.

Carnival Cruise ripoff Tequilla Tour in Puerto Vallarta that I booked aboard the Carnival Pride - it was bascially a the HARD SELL to buy over priced Tequilla and stops at a jewerly store for the HARD SELL to buy EXPENSIVE silver jewlery so that the tour guide could get a KICK BACK from his merhcant buddies. I plan on posting this to alert others about this ripoff excursion.
We are cruising in July as well to the Mexican Rivera. I have never booked thru the ship in our previous sailings but you should really try to get a tour of Mazatlan if you can. There are some great sights to see, such as the cliff diver and the town (church). Enjoy your cruise!
Will be on the Pride July 2008..we have booked the Lands End Boat, Beach and shopping in Cabo. Has anyone done this excursion and what can we expect??? We like to hike so we are doing the Expert Hike tour in PV..
