Default Favorite thing to do in Cabo (not including excursions)

We are going to be in the Cabo port on April 22nd. If we don't want to book an excursion - what would you recommend doing?

That's easy for me. My favorite thing is to walk into one of the little non touristy restaurants a block or tow off the beaten path and order some fresh shrimp, sauteed with alittle garlic -- with a Negra Modela or Carta Blanca beer and some re-fried beans. The shrimp (los camarones) are the best in the world

We always walk to Solimar Beach via the lobby of the Hotel Solimar, and go south to the end of the beach for a little sunning. The recent-most time a Mexican father and son asked us if we wanted to be shown how to go the Honeymoon Beach. I always thought that one could get there if you don't mind a little bit of "boulder hopping." We politely declined, but they continued on over the rocks. I later climbed to the top of the "first bit of rocks," which revealed that it would take another bit of boulder hopping to actually get to that beach. At any rate, we usually go back to the Hotel Solimar for a couple of fish tacos and a beer before returning back to the ship. To get to Solimar Beach, just go towards the Pacific Ocean off of the cruise dock (it's only about 1/4 mile).

There isn't much to do but swimming, shopping, a nice lunch, or take a ride in a glass bottom boat at the pier for about ten or fifteen dollars.

WEll, they are tours but really recommendable, the deep sea fishing (depending on season) as the whale watching or the cooking tour is also lots of fun! Good luck!

Default Cabo

I liked Sammy Hagars bar the Cabo Wabo live music and food. Cabo is small you can easily walk around and see what interests you. We found a nice but crowded beach. Water was great but the venders were pesty. Time was a bit short so we opted to take a cab back.

Catlady,

What beach is this. Looks nice. I was there last Oct and took tours. My next trip will be strictly beach and relaxation.

That's the beach and the area Delfinana suggested, Medano Beach. We walked to the beach, however, it's a lot faster by water taxi. The Restauarnt has the area roped off to keep the vendors from bugging you. They bring out the beer and food directly to you. It's a nice spot to hang out and spend the day.
