Huatulco Excursions?
We're stopping at Huatulco in October. Any reco's on what to do when there? There aren't many excursions on the RCI site to speak of.

Huatulco is a lovely little port. We didn't have much time there. We caught a cab for about $5 or less and went into town, Walked all around the square area and had a great lunch at a restaurant called "Oaxaca". This restaurant was less than a block from the town square on the side opposite to the church. It had great Oaxacan food and was as good or better than any of the great meals we had had in Oaxaca City itself, go figure! And we were in Oaxaca City for two weeks.Try one of the seven moles. You won't be sorry.

A day of leisurely strolling, touring, shopping, and a great lunch made for a very pleasant visit to Huatulco, at very little expense. We both would gladly go back to Huatulco again. Have fun!

I haven't been there but I'm a friend of the internet. :D Check out this website. There are 36 beaches near there and the weather is suppose to be amazing I have heard great things about Oaxaca and Huatulco (wa-TULE-co) is a developing resort area in Mexico, in the state of Oaxaca. Bahias de Huatulco National Park also sounds interesting, I love tropical plants. What cruise are you taking that has this as a port? I would love to see this place. :D

We walked "over the hill" to a nearby bay, where there were about eight "restaurants"(very low key) on the beach, and snorkeling opportunities. It was probably about two miles for the walk. After a beer under the canopy, we asked one of the palapa operaters, who took us back to the cruise dock for $5 per person. We also saw a group of folks who took a palapa to the same bay, then walked back to Huatulco. There are also many cabs if you don't want to walk or take a boat.
