My sister wants to go see some Myan Ruins to celebrate our 50th birthday. I really don't have the desire to see the ruins myself. Where do you think the best ruins are and what other fun things are there to do besides the ruins. Thanks.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.
That's part of the problem. Probably in June or July. We haven't booked the trip yet. We are trying to see if we can both find something to do. Probably be Carnival Line. Thanks.
If you take one of the Carnival cruises from a Gulf port you may have Progreso as a port of call. From there you can visit quite a few of the great Mayan ruins.

If you come by ship I don't think a tour to ruins is really worth it, besides being extremely hot at that time of year. It for sure will not be a relaxed day. Now if you come here on a land vacation then for sure go see all the ruins, which you can do on your own with a little advise.
