Would be interested in your experience on Lirica since we are taking the same ship on same cruise on March 20. I will be taking notes for a detailed report on our experience.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Just returned from our cruise....we loved it. The food was by Italian standards but we always found something tasty to eat every meal. The pastas are excellent and they have ice cream on the pool deck every day...don't miss it! Room service 24 hours, we didn't use it at all.

The rooms are small unless you have a balcony suite, but very adequate. The storage is awesome. We put all our stuff away and still had space left. It actually looked as if we hadn't even moved into the room yet!

We found the age group to be mostly 50 and up. Some babies, teenagers, and twenty and thirty somethings. Lots to keep you busy. Some of the younger folks said they were a little disappointed in the lack of things to do. We weren't.

The shows were okay. The Entertainment Team (ran the games etc.) were wonderful.

All in all, we thought it was great. The ship is beautiful and of course there is constant cleaning going on.

If you see Aida from the bar staff, let her know Table 162 in l
Lacamppo rest., first setting says hello...we miss her. She is wonderful along with a lot of them.

The tours seemed pricey but were good.

Have a great time....I envy you....I want to go again!

Oh, embarkment and disembarkment were a breeze. When you are disembarking go to the library for a comfortable place to wait.

Micki
P.S.: bring a large cup for water and ice tea (ti' fredda in Italian)! : )

Micki...What do mean by "Italian standards"? We are trying to determine what cruise to go on and wonder what the differences are with the "Italian experience"

Thanks!.

My husband and I have just booked the 11 Panama Cruise on Feb. 26. Scottie is just returning from Afghanistan, so we are excited to spend this time together and experience a cruiseline, neither of us have taken. I've read lots of reviews. Just wondering if the children issue is real, i.e., they take over the pools during the day and are so chaotic that you can't enjoy the area??

Thanks for all the info

My husband and I will be on the Feb. 26 cruise. Looking forward to sailing on MSC since it will be our first time on that line. I have read that the ship has great service since some recent changes. See you there
