Default 11/26/06 LIRICA

Hi My husband and I are going on the Lirica 11/26/06. Is anyone else going on that date. So far I think it's us and the crew. Been on this ship in April and on the Opera in March. Any questions I'll be glad to answer.

I am not going on the Lirica untill 04/18/07 but would like to ask your opinion on the overall experience. I gather you enjoyed it if you're sailing on the ship for a second time, but I have read a lot of reviews that rated the service and dining poorly. What was your experience with the dining & overall attentiveness of the staff?

Hi,
Yes we are going on the same ship as last April. We were on the Opera the month before. I read the bad reviews too. I'm glad I didn't pay any attention to them. We found the food, staff, service and entertainment excellent. We are not new to cruising. We have been on over 20 cruises and rank MSC among the top for us. If there's anything else you want to know I'll be glad to help. Oh also, so far it doesn't seem to be geared to children. I saw very few on both past cruises. Age seems to be 55+.
Have a great cruise.

My travel agent told me if I liked Costa I woud live MSC.

She went on and told me MSC wasn't as flashy as Carnival or other lines. They are not as much over the top in activities. But if you just wanted good old fashioned service with a smile MSC had plenty of it.

From the reviews I have read I think the ugly American attituted is what cause most of the problems. I read where people thought the folks at the pursers desk were rude. I am hoping they were just responding to the kind of treatment they were getting from the passengers.

Yes I expect the food to slightly different than most Americanized ships but I really like Italian food.

So I think with a good attitude I will have a fine time.

Haven't been on this ship yet but I hear 60 is young for this ship.
