what is the earliest you can board the Lirica? I know that MSC states 2PM but can you board earlier? We drive to the port and don't want to get there too early.

Hi,
When I sailed on the Lirica last year I did early embarkation at about 11am. They were fabulous -walked me right to my room carrying my bags, there was a lovely lunch, and I got almost a full extra day on board.

Thanks for answering. I wasn't sure if I would get a response since it doesn't seem like many here have cruised MSC especially in the Caribbean.

Most cruise lines suggest boarding starts at 1pm or 2pm. In reality they all have started about 11:30 or so the past few years. The earlier you board the longer you have to enjoy your cruise experience. We always try to be at the port by 11:30am.

We got there about 2pm and once inside the terminal there were lines to get checked in. Some went faster than others. It took us a bit longer than it normally should since MSC had upgraded us and we had not received prior notification but once they got the new cabin number it only took a couple of minutes.

When we arrived back at the end I don't tink they were able to start broading until at least noon as we were not able to start disembarking until 10am and by 10:30 they had only called 4 colors out of 8. Customs took thier time clearing the ship.

Over all we enjoyed the cruise and most likely would cruise with tem again.
