distance from cruiseship to circleline tours

How far is it from where the cruise ships dock to where you would take the tour around Manhattan? Are there any middle range priced hotels in this area?
Coming home our plane leaves at 12:10 from JFK, we will be returning on a Saturday.
How are we timewise to make our flight?
We arre flying in on Friday, and would like to take the tour arund Manhattan Saturday morning before we board the Golden Princess.
Are there shuttles available to take you to the airport, and would you advise reserving this ahead of time?

Get off the ship ASAP and directly onto whatever transportation and you should be fine timewise. You may want to take a cab to avoid waiting for others. Circle Line is a brief walk south of the cruise ship piers. Depending on which pier , 5 to 8 minutes at a stroll.
See posting below for NYC Hotels . I listed several out of the NY TIMES ads in that post. Remember cheap or moderate in NY is more expensive than elsewhere.
