how early can we drop off bags at the ship?

We are going to be staying in the Financial district the night before our cruise.
We would like to take the circleline tour of Manhatten the morning of our cruise.
It would be far more convenient to drop our bags at the dock, than to have to go
back to the hotel and pick them up and then back to the ship. Does anyone
know how early they start accepting bags?
