Hi everyone. I am a fellow cruiser who just happens to live in Halifax. Yes we have survived hurricane Juan and we are back to welcoming any cruisers who happen upon our great city. We have some trees down but our spirits are still up. Most everyone has their power restored now and we look forward to a great tourist season this fall. So welcome to all who come to visit. Just for interests sake I will be going on another cruise myself in Nov. and hubby and I are off to the Carribean. Happy cruising. If anyone has any questions re Halifax just feel free to email me. Sharon
We are planning on visiting Halifax and Nova Scotia in July for my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary and our 10th. Tell me what we could not live without seeing and keep in mind we have small children in tow from 3-10. Also after being on 6 caribean cruises I would like to know what the weather may be like at the end of July.
i am cruising in july 04 for my grandparents 50th there are about 30 people goin and the kids age range is between 2 and 21. I was wondering what events there would be for kids and teens in halifax and st. johns. also i was wondering what the weather would be like in july. i would appreciate some info thanks
I will only say that the weather won't be cold but very warm around July and u will enjoy it. The summer there is just like the northern US. As for sites to see & places to go, etc.etc please read the other postings that outline just that... Happy cruisin'!
Hey, sdolliver, we too are from Halifax and cruising Western Caribbean Nov 27. When are you going?
SKian, fyi: you will be docked in the downtown area and can follow the boardwalk around the harbour where there's lots of great food and great shopping. There's also the Martime Museum of the Atlantic which is interesting -- it has a section on the Titanic. There's also the natural museum which is a little further away but easily accessible.
