Default Newport shopping

Aftre the excursions we'd like to do some shopping in Newport. Is anyone familiar with Bowen or Bannister's Wharf?

Save time for a Cliff walk...I used to surf at second beach in Newort . The beaches are named "first beach' second beach etc.

The mansion tours are great ,,,,there is also a Tennis hall of fame i believe....

Good luck...

If we take a tour of the mansions & tonw for abt 2 1/2 hrs, would we be able to walk back to the cliff walk plus do shopping at bannisters & Bowen's Wharf--or is that too ambtitious for a one day visit?

Hcat It is about a 30 to 45 mins walk from clif walk ot where you will tender. Bowens wharf is about a ten min walk from the tenders.. Its up to you. Acroos the street from where you tender to the right is long wharf mall there is plenty of good shopping there or cross overr thames street plenty of shopping. All with in five mins of the tender if not less. Either way both places are good.

Thanks I have my heart set on seeing the Touro Synagogue plus buying a handbag at the Brahmin outlet store at Bannisters Wharf-- Guess I would sacrifice the cliff walk for those--Can't do everything..the tour we are on is 3 hrs...guess we'll see how it plays out & of course weather is always a factor.
