I know it is a large vartable but what type of dress is suggested for outdoor activity in Quebec & Halifax for late Sept cruisers? Also will there be heat in the ships rooms--If so do they blast it like they do the A.C in warmer places? Want to avoid packing mistakes
I would think you would probably be okay with a long sleeve top (not sweater) and possibly a spring jacket. At that time of year it is always hard to judge. A few years ago I was in Quebec City the last week of September and I was in shorts the whole week. However that is probably not very likely. I think you really need to pack a variety of different clothes. I am doing a Canada/New England cruise October 8th and I intend to pack a combination of clothes. I think I am probably going to pack a pair of shorts, long pants, t-shirts and long-sleeved tops as well as a sweater in case it is cool.
As far as the temperature on the ship I have no idea.
You might want to bring a sweater ... the weather in Northern New England and Canada at that time of year turns on a dime. It can be 20 in the morning and 60 in the afternoon. If you're not from a part of the country that gets chilly, you will be cold. End of September is definitely sweater and jacket weather.
