We have a lot of things we want to do in Halifax and I am not sure we will have the time for it. Our plan right now is to take a cab directly from the dock to the Titanic gravesites, spend no more than an hour there, and then take one back to the museum of the Atlantic and see the exhibit, but we need to be back by 1:30 (we dock at 9:30am, so I assume we will be off the ship by 10:30) for an unrelated ship sponsored excursion. Do you think we can make it?
On the map I have, it doenst look like it would be anymore than a 15 minute cab ride from the dock to the gravesites, is that about right?
Also, does anyone know how much this cab ride might cost?
If thats too much to do (which I am thinking that it is), which is more "not miss": the museum or the gravesites? I have heard many people be dissapointed by the lack of artifacts that are actually in the museum and the size of the exhibit, and they say that the graveyard experience is actually more enjoyable.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If the weather is good I'd definetely go to see the graves,it was a very touching experience for us.. You won't have time to get to the Citadel i don't think for the Noon parade, but you can go directly to the Museum which is on the waterfront and then walk back to the ship or try to hail a cab
Just got back from Halifax last weekend. The cemetary is very impressive and in my book a must see. I don't think you will spend any more than 30 mins. there so you should be able to keep your schedule. I am not sure how far the cemetary is. We took a cab to Peggy's Cove then to Margarets Bay to the Swiss Air Memorial then to the cemetary. We had him drop us off at the Casino and we walked the harbor back. Very nice day.
Had a great day in Halifax & could've done more...Took a city tour that included the basics. It included the Public Garden. & many lovely & historic bldgs. Due to striking parks workers our bus driver would not go to the Citadel so they took the tour to the gravesites instead. Then dropped us off at the Citadel--did it on our own. A great place. Then walked into town Had a great lunch--I think it was O Connors (not sure of name) walked back to ship area, shopping at nice places next to the dock area! JUst a great cty & a great day--despite the strike! Yes--there are many superlatives here ut we had a wonderful trip & enjoyed halifax
