Default NY-Canada Cruise ... RC or Carnival?

Im looking at doing a 4-5 night NY to Canada cruise this summer..

3 options / 2 ships I am weighing.. please provide some comments and insight.

1) Carnival Triumph 5 night out of NYC. Stops in Halifax and St. John
2) Carnival Triumph 4 night out of NYC. Stops in Halifax
3) Royal Carribbean Enchantantment of the Seas 4 night out of Bayonne (essentially NYC). Stops in Halifax.

I am only looking for an inside cabin. My previous cruise has been on the NCL Dawn so I am kinda spoiled. I'm looking for a nice ship with a similar experience and amenities. I am indifferent about leaving from NYC or Bayonne. Which line has better facilities, food, amenties, etc? What can you tell me about the ships themselves?

I'm in my early 20s if that helps...

Please give me ideas/feedback!

I have been on both cruise lines and if you would like to have the same type of experience as NCL I would check into RCCL. Both lines are good.,in fact we are taking are 4th CCL cruise to NE/Can in Sep. but I think RCL is a little bit more on par w/NCL than CCL is. Is just little things that are different. RCCL I feel gives a little more attn to detail -ie I usually get the same drink for dinner{ice tea}, after the 2nd night the RCCL waiter automatically brought it to me, with CCL I still had to ask . Also it seems CCL isnt to quick with refilling water/ice tea glasses as RCCL was.

Ammenties wise its about the same, food I would say RCCL was a little better, but than again the Deli station on CCL is really good. I wasnt crazy about their{CCL} pizza station{being form NYC maybe I am spolied}but other people seemed to enjoy it. I will say that the cabins in CCL are a little bigger square footage wise than any other cruise ship. Thats one of their selling points and believe me its true. Our first 2 cruises were with NCL. We had inside cabins and you had room to move from the bed to the bath, bed to door but not much more than that. Our third cruise we went on CCL and got bunk beds and that room was way bigger than the NCL rooms. . We had a sitting area plus a really nice size bathroom. As for the ship itself, we are taking Triumph in Sep and have never been on Enchantment of the Seas so I cant say much on that. I think either cruise you take you will enjoy.
Hope this helps

Definitely Royal Carib. over Carnival. If you do wind up in St. John, DON'T get sucked into taking the Reversing Rapids tour. It's truly a waste of time & money.

Halifax is a good town to visit. I'd like to get back there some day.

you must like carnvial. are you saying that angus should choose rccl over carnival on this cruise because you had to ask for water and iced tea? wow, that is a bummer.
