We will be cruising Alaska, but one of our stops is Prince Rupert. Do you have an comments about worthwhile excursions or excursions to avoid here? We have a family of five (ages 65, 49, 44, 10, 9) cruising together.
At this time, it's nearly impossible to book shore excursions IN Prince Rupert. It may get better in years to come - we are new to Cruise ships - 2 years of operation.
If you don't book your tours ON BOARD, you are pretty much relegated to walking around town or on the wilderness trails all around. Taxi tours are available but are very expensive.
If you haven't already been here and gone, stop and say Hello to me at Mariner's Park at the top of the hill, I greet most of the passengers from most of the ships.
