Boston/Free Bus to Downtown!?

Am going on Princess Sep 15 to NE/CAD. We are stoping in BOS. We went there a few years ago on CCL and I rememeber that there was a free bus that took you from the ship to downtown. The cruiseline didnt mentioned it, but there was a guy outside w/a sign. Does anyone know if that bus still runs?

I just got back from a New England Cruise which included Boston. At the cruise terminal , you can buy a roundtrip ticket to Quincy Market(Downtown area) for $14 or $8 one way. We took the Silver Line bus which was a couple of blocks away from the cruise pier(Black falcon cruise pier)for $2 per person to South Station. Then we walked along Atlantic street for about 15 minutes to get to Quincy Market.

We went with Carnival in 2006 and the shuttle bus was running for $15 round trip. If you don't have a shore excursion, that would be a nice alternative.
