We are going on the Royal Princess this first two weeks of October. How far away from the port is st anne? Do the cruise tours provide for enough time to tour st anne? Do you have any recomendations for a particular tour or private tour? How is the weather and do you folks have a nice change of colors that we might have a chance to see?

Thanks for your help.

Hi rtik!
From the pier to Ste-Anne it is about 20 minutes drive without stop. But if you take a tour wich stop here and there to let you see the best point of view and take pictures I can not figure out how long is the tour.
The fall colors you will see along the way while on bus,the weather can change at that period but something warm to put under will help to be
comfortable all day.
Any specific question,do not hesitate to ask.Have a nice cruise.

Thanks for the info. We are leaving in about 10 days and have been let down by Princess. They do not have accessible tours and to make special arrangements they want to charge $400.00(US) plus the regular tour cost per person. We have a bad taste in our mounths about this and feel they are ripping us off. We are now trying to find a reasonable tour operator that has a car amd can take us on a tour to St Anne and the falls while we are in port. My wife has MS and has found recently that she is unable to climb up the steps to the large motor coach's the cruise lines use. As a result of this Corporate policy of indiffernce to people with accessiblity issues we are unsure what do.

Does anyone have any recomendations so we are not fleeced by what the cruise line wants to charge.

The Quebec government's tourism office works with an organization called Kéroul (a play on the words, on wheels). Their website is at http://www.keroul.qc.ca/en/

I checked the information about the falls. They are considered partially accessible. They do provide visual and hearing impaired services.

You can contact Kéroul via their website or by calling +1 (514) 252-3104 and the government tourism deparment is at +1 (877) BONJOUR

They may also be able to provide you with information on transportation. We call it Transport Adaptée (Adapted transportation) in French. While they may speak English, using a term like Transport Adaptée should help. It's pronounced Transpour Adaptay.

Good luck. And if you need more help, drop a line on here.
