I am trying to decide on a cruise :

1)Celebrity Summit from NJ to New England and Canada leaving Oct.5,2013

2)Norwegian Dawn from Boston ,MA to New England/Canada leaving Sept.27,2013.

Questions :
a)Weather in Boston the end of Sept and mid Oct.
b) The better of the 2 ships
c) Has anyone been on either ship and if soros and cons

I have sailed on the Summit twice and loved both cruises. The weather in New England can be quite nice in the Fall, but it differs a lot from year to year.

Been on both ships, but quite a while ago. They are both about 10 years old.

Boston will definetly be light jacket weather for both dates. One week apart will not be any different.

With all your requirements equal, there is no contest, Celebrity has it all over NCL.

Pros: NJ is a one hour drive but 5 ports and 2 tenders


Boston is 4 hours but the NCL cruise has a better itinerary-10 ports

My TA says that if you love Celebrity, you might not care for NCL.

Keep in in mind that 10 ports could be a bit overwhelming.

We are going to book the Celebrity Summit cruise .It leaves and returns on a saturday and we can get dropped off and picked up ,a major saving .
