Hello, Would love to hear from anyone who has done or is planning on doing a NCL transatlantic crossing. I am considering the November crossing. I have not cruised NCL in the past and have been reading very mixed reviews. Past cruises have been on HAL, Celebrity, Commadore, Premier. Would like to know your opinion of the "freestyle", the physical condition of the "Dream", the general ambiance of the ship and staff.
I've never been on the dream, but I did sale on Norway a few years back. Unfortunatly, I did not enjoy myself. I found the ship to be too old and not well upkept. The staff did not seem as attentive as Royal Caribbean crew members are. The overall cruise exprience was something I'll never do again. If you're looking for a really slow and "older" persons cruise, then NCL might be the right speed for you. If you're looking for a cruise with people in the thier 30s-50s Royal Caribbean is a good speed. As far as overall quality, Royal Caribbean outdoes NCL by a long shot.
