Hi..
I was wondering if anyone has stayed on the Norwegian Sky? Are the cabins equipped with hairdryers? I was also curious as to overall impressions of the ship, service, etc..
we wer on the sky last september... we really enjoyed it we had a balcony got a great deal on it.. yes i think there are hari dryer... i never take one .. i was impressed with the ship regardless of what the current reviews are. our cabin steward was always around and always wanting to know if we needed anything we enjoyed teh food and at at the chiao chow once it was great.. actually i found nothing wrong with it.. ENJOY and of course alaska is beautiful
Was on the transcanal repositioning cruise for 15 days. I had read the reviews regarding limited drawer and closet space. I took an over the door shoe hanger and folding hanging shelf and had no problem with the storage situation. My only complaint was the other passengers - pool deck chair savers!! I wouldn't think this would be a problem on the Alaskan itinerary. There are so many bars and lounges that seating was never a problem. Most of the lounges also offer tidbits in the evening - the Observation Lounge had polynesian food, the wine bar had tapas, sports bar had nachos, etc. The pizza is quite good and if you order it from room service it comes in a take-out box, just like at home. The rooms also have small fridges. If you expect much from a blow dryer, take your own. The dryers provided are whisper dryers. The ship decor was lovely and understated, lots of blonde wood and subtle colors. Have a great cruise!
Yes they have nice hairdryers.
My husband and I just got back from the western caribbean in March was on the Sky a very beautiful ship we had a wonderful time did not feel like we were in a small cabin, in fact we are booked to take the Sky in the latter part of Nov. for the transcanal repositioning cruise, got a great deal have room with balcony which will be our 1st balcony room, have always had the porthole rooms and they are beautiful so am excited about the balcony room. Dispite some of the reviews it is a beautiful ship and they do have lots to do. HAVE A GREAT CRUISE!
We just returned from Alaska on the Sky and it's a great ship. We got upgraded to a balcony stateroom (have no ideas why but I wasn't asking questions) and it was perfect! The staterooms have hair dryers, safes and ours had robes. I don't know if they all do. Try to eat in Horizons and Le Bistro. Those are 2 of the premium restaurants and definitely worth the extra $10 per person. You must make reservations the day before. We ate in Horizons twice and once in Le Bistro and always got a table for 2 by a window. Very romantic! If you eat in Le Bistro make sure you get the chocolate fondue for desert. The entertainment was the best we had ever seen on a cruise. This was our 8th but 1st with NCL and we will definitely sail with them again. The freestyle cruising is wonderful. It's less regimented, you can eat with who or whenever you like. All in all, we had a great vacation and I hope you do too.
