So NCL purchased the United States several weeks ago. Has anyone heard any plans yet to move the ship out of Philadelphia? Would love to see some pictures of this majestic ship leaving Philadephia for its refit.
I read that it's going to be mechanically overhauled in the US (in one of the gulfcoast states, I believe), then sent overseas for a complete refitting.
The SS United States will not be sailing anywhere for quite some time. It is nothing more than a hull for the most part and will be towed to a shipyard for the basics and then set overseas for complete refitting.
