The Port is on the West Side of Manhattan in the "fifties". Several ways for you to go , your preference. Come up the Turnpike and go through the Linclon Tunnel and come North on West Street(along the river) Just past the Intrepid (aircraft carrier Museum, you can turn left into the Port.
Or come over the George Washington Bridge and South on the West Side Highway
(Joe DiMaggio HighWay} along the River. Stay to the right as the elevated highway ends in the 50's.
Parking is available at the pier above the docks. It is safe and secure and not cheap.
The rate is about $26 per day (actually that is cheap for NYCity) AND MUST BE PAID
IN ADVANCE IN CASH. AGAIN CASH ONLY.
Drop your bags off curbside in front of your ship, porters will deliver them to the ship, then proceed to parking.
There is some enclosed parking available on side streets across from the piers, but the portside parking is more convenient.
Remember CASH ONLY < IN ADVANCE< FOR PARKING>

Another option from NJ Turnpike is to get off at the Holland Tunnel.

Take the tunnel, once through the tunnel exit to the 1st right onto West Street, which runs along the Hudson River.

Take West Street (aka - West Side Highway) north for several lights and you will see the pier on your left. Can't miss it. The aircraft carrier Intrepid is the 1st ship you will see, then the pier and parking lot and then the ships. The jug handle is on your right, or take the next jug handle about a block or two further north.
