No we have never been on the ship. Never been to San Juan either. Do you know if she'll be docked close to Old San Juan? We have sailed Norwegian (last New Year's) and very much enjoyed it. More of a relaxed atmosphere with lots of evening entertinment options. Have you sailed New Year's before?
Are you sailing single? Where are you from?
This will be my 7th NCL cruise....but never before over New Years. What was the ship that you went on last year over New Years. I would love to hear more about what all the ship did for the New Years celebration. We are really looking forward to it. I have a great friend who I cruise with. Her husband doesn't really enjoy cruising anymore and I'm single....so this really works out great for us. She is from the Eastern United States and I am from New Mexico. Here is my e-mail address if you would like to write. firstname.lastname@example.org I have been on the SKY twice before but never out of San Juan. I'm not familiar with the port....but from what I'm hearing the port is called "Pan American Port." They say it is pretty close to the airport. About a 10 minute cab drive. We have doing the Air / Cruise program with NCL. I arrive in San Juan @ 4:30pm....and have the NCL transfer to the ship. When do you all arrive?
This is great.....glad to chat with someone else that will be sailing.
Glad to see someone else is sailing. How many in your group or are you sailing alone?
Where are you from? Have you cruised for New Year's before? Ever been on the Sky before or been to any of these ports?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Roll Call New Year's Eve on the Sky
Perhaps we could all get together for a drink and chat one evening pre-dinner or post show. Any interest in meeting as a group? We are two Canadian couples, 2 late 50's and 2 very, very, very, late 30 year olds. The two older ones are first time cruisers and the younger couple are 8 time cruisers (once with NCL).
If anyone is inclined to meet, please post here and we'll set up a time and place.
Meeting sounds great to me. By any chance do you keep up with the "Cruise Critic" message threads? I noticed that some of the same people have posted in both places....here and on the Cruise Critic thread. There may be some of us already getting together right after the lifeboat drill at the Sail-Away party the first night. Coka and I will be there.....we always enjoy the Sail-Away and it seems to be a great time for everyone to meet. We can usually be found at the Topsiders Bar which is on the pool deck. We will be at the end of the bar in the smoking area. How does this sound to everyone?
To be honest, that time is not good for us.......we have to leave home about 3:00am for a 7:00 am flight and then enroute most of the day. Then get settled on the ship and try to see some of San Juan...........by the sailaway we will be ready to drop. So sorry, but no ofeence we will probably not make it. Perhaps a more suitable time can be arranged.
It'd be great to get a bunch of folks from here together at a more conducive time.
What happened to Jeloshot? and Stratstrummer? Gonna be able to join us?
