Default Dawn Questions

Hello fellow cruisers,

Going on the Dawn 4/25/03. There will be 5 of us in 2 balcony cabins. My question is, do the Dawn's balconies have removable separators? (If they do I want to make sure we get two cabins next to each other). Also, is there a smoking side of the ship for the cabins as well as the public areas?

As always, thank you all for your help.

Hi Paula:

Yes, the steward can open the divider between the two balconies if you have adjoining rooms.

Enjoy!

I dont' know much about those separaters, but.. Yes.. the PORTSIDE of the ship (left side) Is all smoking.. the starboard side- (right) is non- this applies to public areas. i'm not sure what the smoking policy is though in the restaurants.

I didn't know that. I was on the right side of the ship and the people next to us were smoking. Should I have said something to the steward?!

It seems that no matter what side of the ship you are on people smoke on their balconies. We had someone next to us that smoked cigars. Could not even open our door when he was out there.

The last time I was on the Dawn, I asked the Steward for an ashtray for the room, he said you were not supposed to smoke in the cabin, but brought an ashtray anyway.
I don;t smoke alot when I am in the cabins, but sometimes you just need to light up.
The Dawn is a great ship, have a good time.

Oh well thanks there Shoreguy!
Being a non smoker, i never really paid much attention to these smoking spots.

And yes 525- you could have said something to that person- they probably just had no idea
