We are leaving on the 21st on the Dawn. Is is worth it to drag along our snorkling equipment. I am interested in the water temp on the private island. Is the water warm enough to snorkel or should we leave our equip at home. Thanks for any input.
If you are going to snorkel on NCL own island you MUST wear a vest. You can get the vest on the island at no charge .Take your mask and snorkel it will be worth it.I dont like using equipment that others have used. You will have a large area to swim in.But if you want a good beach location ,make sure you get off early.Sometimes they have tickets for the first tenders.or if you want to take your time going in ,after the rush there are no tickets.
We just did this in November off of the Dawn.
I was just on the 2/29 sailing and the water temperature on the private island was a litlle cold at first, but not too bad and you get used to it quickly. Also, the air temperature is so warm that the cool water felt really nice.
Just off Dawn yesterday. We did bring our snorkels. They gave us vests for free. Nice island. The water temp was a little cool but if you just keep moving you'll get used to it quick. It's so crystal clear!
This is MR. Asealady. We just got off the Dawn yesterday. Water was clear, dont stub you toes on the scattered rocks. Not a lot of rocks but just be carefull. Take you own equipmentI think it may be more healty if you do. We were also there in Nov. 16th sailing too. You have to enter the talent contest if you can sing it was lots of fun, I played the drums (wipe out) did anyone on the cruise go to the show? Rick
