Hi All - appreciate hearing from anyone regarding whether or not hubby should bring his tux - do any men wear it? Also need to know how many formal nights there are on a 7 nite cruise? We're on Pride of Aloha in Jan/05 'doing' Hawaiian Islands. If anticipation is the spice of life I am overloaded!! Thanks in advance & happy cruisin'!
Just got off the Sky (which is soon to become the Pride of Aloha!) and had a wonderful time- we were a group of 6 girls and we dressed to the nines for formal night, and I noticed many other women were also dressed in evening or even ball gowns, but only a few men wore their tuxes. He won't look terribly out of place, and it will make for a great picture, but if he really doesn't want to, a nice suit and tie will suffice. there is technically only one formal night, but many people dress up for the "captains farewell dinner" as well.
There is something about a man in a tux that is very glamorous...think Cary Grant, Fred Astaire for you older people..It's a great opportunity to take a family or couple picture... Talked Parrot Pop into one for a special anniversary cruise and he loved it so much he bought one..the shirts, the ties, the cumberbunds..lol
Glad to hear u were wearing a tux 'JimInBuffalo' - bet u looked just wonderful. As Parrot Mom says nothing makes a 'fella' look more glamorous than a tux and I wld like to add handsome & sophisticated..Thanks for taking the time to reply & happy cruisin'!!
