I was just curious what is the average age of travelers on NCL's ships? We're in our mid-30s and worry a little that entertainment and activities could be oriented to a much older crowd. We're not the partying type at all, but also don't necessarily want to be surrounded by people on walkers (no offense to those who need them)!
Hi Michelle,we were on the Dawn in October and I had my parents with us (70's),our friends (40's) and one 80 year old!We had a great time.Don't worry too much, the entertainment was fabulous, geared to all age groups.Have a great cruise.
Ok, the question is wide open so the answer is too!
You cannot pigeon hole the average NCL passenger.
7 day cruises usually run a demographic of early twenties to mid fifites.
7 day Alaska usaully runs higher (higher costs tend to reduce "early earners"..those just on their way uip the financial scale.). Average late 40's to 60's +
But NCL is not a "walker" cruise line nor is it a fake ID cruise line..
Just my 2 cents worth which probably isn't worth even a penny: as some have said, the average age depends on the length of the cruise and the itinerary; Western Caribbean will have a younger crowd than Alaska. The Europian cruises will have an older crowd; that being said; my opinion after 15 cruises on most the major lines: NCL has the biggest age spread of all lines. As for the entertainment it is certainly not geared the geriatrics crowd. Just go and enjoy!
Thanks for the feedback! We will be on the Sun turnaround cruise from LA to Vancouver in two weeks. I had heard that the West Coast/Alaska tours tend to attract an older crowd (my in-laws were the youngest on theirs and they're in their late 50s!), which prompted the concern. Glad to hear it's a diverse crowd spanning all age groups -- exactly what we were looking for.
