We had Paul Baya in 2002 on the Sun also. We thought he was great. We would love to see him on the Star for Alaska but don't know if we'll be that lucky.
I read your post on the other thread about seeing the poor people in Roatan. It really does make you feel thankful that we have the means to travel.. We loved the Sun. We feel lucky to even be cruising, so we make our cruises and vacations fun. We are really looking forward to another cruise.
PS My brother's name is Chip also. A nickname for Charles!
i just retured from my cruise, an 8-day trip to the eastern caribbean may 15th-may 23rd. i absolutely loved my cruise director, chris jefferson, on the carnival legend. he was very funny... pulled me onstage the first night and "passed out' claiming "yeah babay i think i'm in loove" for a quick laugh from the audience. he was personable, friendly, and put his own twist on everyhting. the second to last night of the cruise, he asked a dancer on the ship to marry him. it was terribly romantic. without him my cruise wouldn't have been the same. i wanted a picute with him to add to my scrapbook of cruise memories, so i was wondering if anyone happened to know where i would be able to find one?
I just got back from the May 24th - 30th cruise on Norwegian Dawn out of NYC and I thought that the Cruise Director Paul Baya and his assistant Mike Szwajkowski were the best. They brought non-stop motivation and laughter to everyone on board. They are incredible!!!!!!
I was on the Carnival Legend from May 23rd-May 31st, and I had Chris Jefferson. Lol, I loved that guy, he was awesome! Lol, I loved the song he sang at the talent show... And I just had to get my picture taken with him.
The Denny Anderson you speak of as ceuise director is the WORST we have ever had!! Pedro Serra took his place half way through the Baltic cruise last month. It was amazing how the attitudes on the ship improved daily.chip Brady
It's gotta be Paul Baya. It doesn't hurt that Mike Szwajakowski is hilarious also. It seemed like anytime there was a lot of people around, they were in the center of it. Absolutely fantastic, made my first cruise the best it could have ever been.
