We sailed on the Dream this past summer, and were very pleased with the ship and the crew. Service was first-rate, and the food was good to excellent. We also found the entertainment to be very enjoyable for the most part, although we're not crazy about the variety shows that NCL likes to feature in the main theater. But the comedy, magic and musical specialty shows (they featured a fine pianist named Michael Chio) were especially good.
It was our first exposure to the "Freestyle" dining concept, and we liked it. We like to dine early (5:30-6:00 pm) and Freestyle accommodates our preference just fine. Although I've seen negative reviews about the Sports Bar (buffet), we ate there every morning and enjoyed a good variety of breakfast delights. Try it ... you'll like it. Enjoy your cruise!
We sailed 10/31 - loved it...everything was terrific - don't let the negative stuff people post scare you. Seems like there are a lot of professional complainers out there. Make sure you have at least one meal in Le Bistro - it's excellent!
So what did you think of the Dream? We were on the same cruise as you and found it to be....well....not as satisfying as others we've taken. Found it to be mediocre in many ways. What did you think of the hand sanitizing stations?
