Default Horse and Buggy in Bermuda

Does anyone know what they charge for the horse and buggy ride in Hamilton for 2 people if you book on your own?

Thanks for any info.

Hi,

This is according to Bermuda.com.

All carriage rides from the carriage stand located on Front Street are at a set rate controlled by the Transport Control Department. For a half-hour tour the rate for a one horse carriage (which can take up to 4 people) is $30 this rate is the same as a two horse carriage. A two horse carriage can also by law take from 6-8 people, however after 4 people they will be charged at $5 per head.

Then it goes on to say:

Our hours are from 9.15a.m. until 11.30p.m. Nights are the busiest time particularly when cruise ships are located on Front Street, however there are at least 10 to 12 carriages available. Anyone wishing a private tour, anniversary ride, or wedding rides would have to make specific arrangements with the carriage company of their choice. Carriage companies can be located in the Yellow Pages of the phone directory under Carriages or Stables.

Hope that helps.

We booked the horse & buggy tour of St. George from the ship. It was enjoyable & informative. Well worth the money.

Since we were docked in St. George for the entire Bermuda stay, we toured on our own using public transportation. I also recommend the glass-bottomed boat ride, which was located near the ship.

It seems the Horse and Buggy rides in Bermuda can only be booked through the ship,,NCL has hired them all, We did enjoy our ride through Hamilton on one though.
