Default Sailing on the front of the ship

We have been on 12 cruises but have never sailed in a cabin at the front of the ship, above the bridge. Is it extremely windy when the ship is moving? Are there windscreens to block some of the wind? Are you able to sit on the balcony in comfort while sailing? Any response will be appreciated.

Default Re: Sailing on the front of the ship

We had a cabin at the front of the ship last summer, but it didn't have a balcony. We didn't notice any additional movement or noise though.
