Default Sailing from NY in Feb or March

Has anyone cruised from NY to the Caribbean in Feb or March? What was the water like sailing down south at that time of year? Was the first day or two at sea cold? Any information about this time of year out NY would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Cool not cold. I have cruised out of NYC the last two winters. Think of it this way. Day one you are off NC. Day two you are off FL. 50-60s day one, 70-80s day two.

As pointed out it sure beats spending a day or two if the weather is bad in an airport.

Cruised the last two Febs andthe weather was wonderful. One year it was warmer than the other the day after. Nothing like sailing past the statue of liberty, not having to deal with airports, just relaxing on the ship until you get into warm waters, hitting the casino and just lazy sea day.

I will be sailing this Feb. again out of nY and loving it.

We were on the Dawn in March. It was so windy (march winds go figure) when we went by the Statue of Liberty, I have a few pictures of us sitting out on the deck with coats on. Its funny to look at. We had a great time, Florida's weather was good when we got there, in the 70's. Have a great time, the Dawn is a great ship.

Are you Nuts? NYC is in the 30s in Febuary, its Freezing, no where near "cool", its Cold! No way you could go outside and watch New York pass by without a winter jacket on.
