We will be on the Star and the 2 men want to do deep sea fishing. The ships cost is crazy, but with so little time in Cabo I am afraid to charter something. Does anyone have experince that they can help us decided on what to do? Here is the new itinerary - Thanks
Manzanillo, Mexico 10:00am 6:00pm
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico 7:00am 6:00pm
Mazatlan, Mexico 8:00am 6:00pm
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico 7:00am 2:00pm
I don't know what the ship quoted and we all know the tours offered via the ships are always very high. I also remember my DD and SIL chartering a boat to deep sea fist from Cabo and the price was sky high. That is about all the info I have. I do know when time is an issue it is worth the extra bucks to use the ships excursion desk. DH went fishing in Alaska several years ago and used the ship. It was just under $200 and as I said it was several years ago, but thank goodness he did it that way, they didn't get back til about 10 minutes after we were due to sail. NMnita
DH and Grandson went deep-sea fishing in Cabo on Christmas Day. They were supposed to leave at 7:00 AM but charter didn't arrive until 8:30 so they only fished for 3 hrs instead of 5. Good news is that 3 out of the 6 onboard caught Marlin. With the shortened stay in Cabo they decided to book through the cruise line.
