Default laundry prices

We are cruisin' to Alaska this summer. Can anyone help us with the prices of laundry service aboard the Star? Is there a self-serve laundry. Trying to cut back on the packing.

Just back from the Star.

There was no self serve laundry.

On about the 4th night a bag is delivered to your stateroom and all of the clothes that you can cram into it will be laundered for $25.00.
The bag is not big and the clothes are not returned to you until the last day.
Does no good for clothes that you need to wear again during your cruise!

Happy Cruising!

Does anyone know if this is the way on all ships? I am going on the Dawn on 2/11 and my family was planning on doing laundry on the ship.

First cruise - less than a month

The Dawn is the same as the Star and there is no self-service laundry.

You'll can send out laundry for cleaning or you can rewear a couple of things and pack a few extra pair of under garments.

For me I usually have to put a plastic bag around me at dinner in order to keep from dropping food all over myself.

BTW: "Tide to Go" has become my new best friend.

Take care
Mike

I don't believe any of the NCL ships have self service laundries, so pack accordingly.

I can tell you that the Wind (Hawaii) does not have a self serve laundry but does offer the same service noted above relative to the bag-full for $25

I am going on the Dawn in 6 weeks. Since it is an 11-day cruise, we wanted to know if there were self-service laundries. So, I called NCL and also checked out the deck plans afterwards. There ARE self-service laundry facilities available. They are on decks 6 and 11. They include irons. You can either bring your own detergent or purchase a small box onboard; however, it is more expensive. I also called a friend that just returned from the Dawn. She verified that there are self-service laundry facilities and she used them...SBW

What about laundry service on the Pride of Aloha?

I was aboard when it was the Sky, and there were no self-service laundries at that time. Does the POA have the self service laundry now or the $25.00 bag service?

Thanks,

Barb
