Just registered at NCL.com for my 6/18 onboard Spirit. I booked a Guarantee outside room, and when I logged on, saw that I was assigned room 5506. Anyone know where exactly this is? Does this room have a porthole or picture window? Any chance I'll be upgraded as the room has already been assigned? I think this room is at the front of the ship - is that a 'good' room? Are these rooms obstructed view (I believe that was the term my TA said)?
As ute fan listed, this cabin is portside, forward, and has a porthole instead of a window.
You're between other passenger decks (4 & 6) so there shouldn't be much noise from above or below, but you may hear noise from the anchor being dropped when you get to port. You also may feel more movement than you would midship.
I don't see it listed as "obstructed view", but, IMO, the NCL site is not very good, so it may be . Personally, I don't know what kind of obstruction would be that far forward.
Keep in mind that you still have a month before you sail, so you still could be assigned another cabin.
Have a wonderful cruise, no matter where you are!

Ute fan, where did you get such detailed information about a particular cabin? I did not find that on the NCL website. Can you do the same for cabin 10566 with balcony? Any additional info on this one? thanks 8)
The information actually comes right from the NCL website, but it's a little hard to access. Here are the details for your cabin:
Hair Dryer (1)
Safety Deposit Box (1)
Private Balcony (1)
Convertible Lower Beds (2)
Convertible Single Sofa Bed (1)
Balcony Square Footage (40)
Cabin Square Footage (161)
Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors (1)
Connecting Room (10562)
Here's the address for your cabin:https://seaweb.it.ncl.com/consumer/s...etail.cfm?Cat=BC&Num=10566&SC=SPIRIT. If you change the parameters that are green, you can find the information for any NCL cabin. Unfortunately, I don't seem to able to combine the "link" with the color selection, but if you do a cut and paste, it should work.
There are also a couple of websites where you can just select your ship and put in the cabin number and it takes you to this same information page. One of them is http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Main/shipsncl.htm. Hopefully this will give you the information you need.
