Questions about "Pride of Hawaii" cruise - leaving

Hello,

We have a group of 14 going on this cruise, ranging from 10yrs to 50yrs. We would like to rent 2 vans for the overnight ports (Maui & Kauai) and have a few questions.
1) Where is the closest place to rent them? On port?
2) How difficult is it to get a taxi to take you to a rental location?
3) Anybody use the public transportation "THE BUS" to head over to the Misssouri and Pearl Harbor?

Any help in any direction would be greatly appreciated!
