It’s easy for you to relax when you know your kids are safe and happy. In fact, safety is of paramount importance to our staff. Each child’s name, stateroom number, allergies, medications and lifeboat station numbers are written on the back of their Kid’s Crew ID bracelets. Teens are free to come and go as they please, and children 12 years and younger are not allowed to leave the program unless picked up by a parent. And when the day is done, you’ll find our family suites and connecting and adjacent staterooms are perfect for family togetherness and privacy.
The "rules" are pretty much "The Rules"! Do you really want your 12 year old to have the "run of the ship" and "hang" with 17 year olds (and older)? IMHO, I'd never let a 12 (or even a 13 or 14 year old have the "run of the ship"!
It wouldn't matter to me how "mature" they were at home; on vacation they're different children! You haven't mentioned if you have older children who would look after the 12 year old. That would make a difference!
This is just MHO.
