I notice on the brochure that they mention weapons not being allowed onboard. Does anyone know if that applies to pocket knives as well? I normally carry a Leatherman.
Thanks,
My son bought some knives in Germany and the security folks took them when we reboarded the ship. They held them until he walked off the ship.
If you like your pocket knife, I would just leave it at home.
Also, the TSA will not allow knives as a carry on item; they must be in your checked bags.

Figured as much. Normally pack it in my checked luggage for flights but I guess this trip it stays home altogether. Dang, sort of feel not properly dressed without it.

I know how you feel. If I don't have my G17 on my hip, I feel naked.

I have taken a Leatherman on each cruise except International and at least seven since 9/11. Pack it in your checked baggage and you will have no problem.
When referring to weapons they are looking for guns, knives with blades in excess of 4", swords or other more dangerous weapons.
Take care,
Mike

I packed my LEATHERMAN in my suitcase and they found it as well as my diving knife. They held both at the dock until I returned.
I carry my leatherman everywhere. I can't tell you how many times it has come in handy not just for myself but for someone who needed help with cutting or fixing something. I probably use it more to help others than for myself.
