Pay for onboard expensives with cash?

I´m wondering if it´s possible to pay A PART OF the onboard account with cash?

We always use a creditcard to pay the bill but since the exchange rate between our currency and the US-dollar is very good right now, I´m thinking about buying a couple of hundred dollars now and save until our next cruise. Can I do so or is it all or nothing? (I mean all creditcard or all cash)

No problem paying some or all of you account with cash. Just go to the guest relations desk to deal with it.

I have only cruised on Carnival. All charges (drinks, shops, etc.) are put on your sign and sail card. Then, on the last night of the cruise you will receive a bill. You can go to the purser's desk then, if you want to, and pay the bill in cash, so that it will not be billed to your credit card.

I usually pay the bill with cash so as not to carry a credit card charge. My onboard spending is minimal.
