Default Whats the chance of getting our cabin location changed?

Will be going with the girls in just a couple of weeks and the discount cruise site we chose assigned us 4girls two in a room on the same floor but at OPPOSITE ENDS of the ship! I told the girls they gave us what rooms they probably had available.....we tried calling them to reassign us but I think we are out of luck. Do you think there is a possiblity of when we board to get our rooms changed to be closer together? Any suggestions?

One quick way is to go to any cruise site and look for the cabin category that you have. Then look for any open cabins. If you find any that suits your needs, call your TA or NCL and ask to be moved to these cabins.

I didn't use my regular travel agent due to my friends found a cheaper deal on a web site that my TA couldn't match. But we did call the 1800 number for the discount site and that representative said he couldn't change our rooms but he would leave a message with his supervisor. (that was last week) Now what?

Well, you don't even know if any cabins are open. Go look and if there are any tell the agent to change them to those specific cabin #s.

It could be that there are no more open and that is why they said that it cannot be changed. But, you don't know this for a fact.

Yes we did check...when we called the 1800 dude we had checked and told him exactly what cabins were open for a even swap, he said he couldn't change us. He told us he would relay the message to his supervisor who hasn't called us back.
so we are out of luck?

If it weren't for the 11 days left before you cruise, I would tell them to release the booking to another agent. Usually the cruise line will not do much for you since you have a TA, but I would call NCL and ask the question.

You could not pick your cabins when you booked?

If nothing works out, when you check-in at the port, ask the NCL rep to check if those cabins are still open. You might get lucky.

Hi kimbo,

I agee with Irish Shark and I'm afraid you booked with someone who just took the booking and has NO service to back it up.

You could try call the 1800 number and ask for a supervisor, but considering what you've already done I don't think it will do much good .

You might call NCL and tell them how terrible this agent has been and ask to transfer to NCL but, as IS said, it may be too late now.

I'm afraid that you may be "just out of luck" on this one .

I hope you have a wonderful cruise, despite this problem.

A lesson learned but maybe to late: saving a few dollars isn't always worth it. The only option you have is to call NCL and see if they will deal with you without going through the agency. Most of the times they will not, but always there is that possibility. It won't hurt. Now the good news, we just cruised with some very good friends; not only were we far aft and they far forward, we were one deck apart. It really didn't make a lot of difference. We still went to each others cabin for cocktails, we met on deck serveal times a day, we talked on the phone. It would have been nice if we were closer together, but the world will not come to an end, nor will your cruise be spoiled in any way. NMNita
